Call for application: PhD Positions at the Centre for Ethics, Politics and Society / FCT 2025

The Centre for Ethics, Politics and Society at the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal) invites expressions of interest from qualified candidates to apply for a PhD research scholarship (up to 4 years) funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), under the 2025 Call for PhD Studentship Program.

Applications for the 2025 call are open until 16 April 2025 (17:00 Lisbon Time). Applications must be submitted through the FCT platform, with the support of a host institution and a supervisor.

Prospective candidates who are interested in applying with CEPS should contact the center at ceps@elach.uminho.pt with the Subject: ‘FCT PhD 2025’. Please attach a recent CV, a brief research project (no longer than 2 pages), and — if you already have one — the indication of a potential supervisor at the Center.

Deadline for expressions of interest: 26 March 2025. The decision on sponsored applications will be communicated within approximately one week.

To falicitate the process, in the meantime, we recommend obtaining an apostille from a competent national authority in the country where you earned your academic degrees. We will provide support with the application process.
