PEDRO PINHEIRO
DOCTORAL STUDENT
Pedro Pinheiro is a PhD student at the Centre for Ethics, Politics and Society. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Coimbra and was an Erasmus student at Jean Jaurès University (Toulouse). He also holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Beira Interior. He developed research on the importance of Hannah Arendt’s thought for understanding the crisis of democracy.
Pinheiro’s current PhD project “Left populism: a research on a subversive dissent” is funded by FCT. It is supervised by Giuseppe Ballacci (CEPS) and co-supervised by Alexandre Franco de Sá (University of Coimbra).
