ELENA ICARDI
CEPS FULL RESEARCHER
Elena Icardi is a researcher at the Centre for Ethics, Politics and Society. Her research interests include freedom as non-domination, equality, power, and distributive justice. Prior to joining CEPS, she was a research fellow at the University of Pavia.
She obtained her PhD in Political Studies from the Network for the Advancement of Social and Political Studies (NASP) of the University of Milan (Political Theory curriculum) with a thesis on “Freedom as non-domination and equality: A neo-republican theory of distributive justice”. She also spent a visiting period at the Ethics Institute of Utrecht University during her PhD. She earned an M.A. in Philosophical Sciences from the University of Bologna and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Milan. Additionally, she studied as an Erasmus student at the Sorbonne University in Paris.
